Brooklyn Tennis Players Meet up with Our Players

The TLN leads a collection of city based internet sites where we connect participants on the tennis courts.

Here are some of the cities in our program:
Baltimore Tennis, San Antonio Tennis, Brooklyn Tennis

Our playoffs Run after every season. Here is the playoff description:

How do the Playoffs Play?
We use the playoff system to determine who is the overall winner of the season. Its a single elimination tournament where we will eventually have one champion.

Tournaments are Skill Level Based
The brackets could have a bunch of players in it that you have never played before. Also players who obtain wins from another skill level still qualify for the playoffs of the current division they are in. (* see below for a more detailed explanation)

Seedings & Brackets
We present all the qualifiers on the Division report pages. League Rule #10 is used to set the seedings:
Rule #10) Playoff Positioning
Regular season ties are broken by this order:
1) Overall Record, based on tennis matches over .500. 6-1 is 5 matches over, 8-2 is 6 tennis matches over and would be better.
2) In season Head-to-Head record for players tied after #1
3) We promote players playing tennis matches, so 6-1 would be better than 5-0.
4) % of games won

Anywhere from 2 to 50 players can qualify for the tournament. The brackets will be produced based upon the # of participants.

Scheduling & Deadlines
The scheduling of the tennis matches follows the same arrangement as the league as we really want the players to agree on a mutual time and location to play. We do have a rule where the higher seed does have choice of home court. Also the higher seed has choice of serve or side to start the playoff match.

Prize Pool & National Tournament
Once a winner has been crowned we use the league prize pool to honor the participants of the playoffs. The prize pool is based upon the total # of players in the division of the tournament.

* They will also be seeded according to Rule #10 indifferent of which level the wins came from.
